Sr. Radiation Protection & Industrial Hygiene Tech

(McClean Lake) - 18 Month Term

Responsibilities:  

Industrial Hygiene:
-Participate in developing and deploying the Industrial Hygiene Program and tools such as Air Sampling Campaigns, Hearing Conservation Program, and Respiratory Protection
-Perform risk assessments
-Participate in the development of sampling strategies.
Radiation Protection:
-Carry out measurements prescribed in work instructions
-Record data update records and databases
-Perform and coordinate calibration and maintenance of devices and systems
-Provide guidance to employees on radiation protection matters
-Establish and maintain procedures, work instructions and forms
-Teach Advanced Radiation Protection courses and prepare/attend safety huddles
-Plan daily schedules to carry out point and personnel monitoring
-Respond to situations where it may be necessary to investigate, eliminate and/or control unacceptable radiation exposure situations to personnel or damage to the environment

Skills and Qualifications:
-Certification or active pursuit of the following certifications:
Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician
Radiation Safety Officer
Significant experience, certification and/or active pursuit of technical knowledge in Industrial Hygiene and Radiation Protection
-Demonstrated ability to teach and speak publicly
-Excellent computer skills in spreadsheets, data management systems
-Technical reading and writing skills are required
-Proficiency using SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office
-Leadership Training and ability to supervise technical staff
-Familiarity with the operation of agencies such as CNSC, Sask Labour, etc.
-Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
