- Examiner les soudures et s'assurer qu'elles rencontrent les normes et spécifications
- Utiliser des appareils coupe-flamme manuels ou semi-automatiques
- Ajuster des pièces de métal, les redresser au chalumeau et les braser
- Utiliser des appareils de coupage oxyarc, procédé AOC
- Déterminer l'habilité de soudure des matériaux
- Participer à l'entretien et à la réparation des machines à souder et à braser
