Your extensive experience in assessing medical and financial risks will be vital in negotiating effectively with reinsurers. Collaborate with management and distribution teams to drive exceptional outcomes, ensuring a client-first approach. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze insurance applications and assess evidence of insurability
- Make competitive underwriting decisions based on holistic expertise
- Negotiate with reinsurers per internal rules
- Communicate outcomes clearly to advisors and clients' physicians
- Mentor underwriters and contribute to team development
- 10-15 years of Individual Life Underwriting experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- ALU certification; goal for FALU and FLMI designations
- Bilingualism required for Quebec-based roles
