Java Full Stack Lead

Iris's client, one of the world's largest multinational investment banking and financial services corporation is looking to hire a Java Full Stack Lead Our direct client is a is a world-leading financial services company, provides consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions with a broad range of financial services and products.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 24 Months
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Lead with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale banking applications. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on full stack development experience, strong technical leadership capabilities, and prior experience working in the banking/financial services domain. The role requires close collaboration with onshore stakeholders, driving technical discussions, and resolving technical challenges across the development lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of software development experience with Java technologies.
- Lead technical discussions with onshore stakeholders, manage offshore team responsibilities and technical blockers.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
- Extensive experience with Angular (Angular 10+ preferred)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, coding standards, and best practices
- Prior banking or financial services industry experience is mandatory
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
