This crucial leadership role demands expertise in food production, quality management, and regulatory compliance. As the Director, you will oversee the execution of Maple Leaf Foods' comprehensive Food Safety Quality and Technical Services strategy. You’ll lead teams towards achieving performance metrics and ensure compliance with HACCP and other regulations across several facilities. Your leadership will be key to continuously improving FSQ programs and engaging with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities:
• Guide teams in meeting FSQA management standards
• Oversee HACCP system compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage pathogen control programs in Prepared Meats facilities
• Lead the review of Food Safety Risk Assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on program improvements Requirements:
• 10+ years in regulated food manufacturing industry
• 5+ years in Food Safety and Quality Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field
• Six Sigma Black Belt or relevant certification
• Experience in prepared food/meat processing Lead food safety initiatives, drive quality excellence, and cultivate improvement strategies at Maple Leaf Foods.
