Deal Architect / Procurement Strategy Digital Workplace Solutions

We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Architect / Deal Architect & Negotiation Specialist to support a large-scale Digital Workplace Services Transformation Program within the British Columbia healthcare sector.
The successful consultant will help design the future sourcing, commercial, and service delivery model for workplace technology services. This is a commercial deal architecture and negotiation role, rather than a traditional procurement, legal, finance, or technical architecture position.
The consultant will work closely with executives, procurement teams, legal counsel, finance, technology stakeholders, health authorities, and industry vendors to develop commercial structures that support long-term value, flexibility, accountability, and service performance.

Commercial Architecture
- Translate future-state service and operating models into integrated commercial structures.
- Develop options for service packaging, bundling, disaggregation, and commercial separation.
- Design commercial constructs for retained, transitioned, outsourced, and transformed services.
- Identify commercial dependencies across services, providers, and transition activities.
- Develop commercial governance models for multi-provider environments.
- Help minimize vendor lock-in and stranded-cost exposure.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- 10+ years of relevant commercial/deal architecture experience, preferably with multiple relevant degrees or equivalent qualifications, OR 15+ years of directly related experience.
- Direct responsibility for commercially structuring and negotiating at least two large-scale IT managed services, IT outsourcing, or multi-service technology transactions.
- Hands-on experience designing and negotiating the commercial model for ongoing IT service delivery.
- Strong experience with complex commercial structures, pricing models, risk allocation, service performance, and negotiation.
- Experience with large and complex outsourcing or managed-services transactions.
- Ability to clearly demonstrate personal responsibility for commercial decisions and negotiations.
