We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Software Developer for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier ServiceNow development, platform architecture, and system administration capacity, specializing in building, configuring, and optimizing ServiceNow portals, Customer Service Management (CSM), and Vulnerability Response modules.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will bridge the gap between business processes, technical architecture, and platform administration. Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead end-to-end ServiceNow custom application development, build automated workflows using Flow Designer and Integration Hub, configure service portals, and define platform governance standards. This position is tailored for a technical ServiceNow authority with specialized certification in Vulnerability Response (CIS-VR) who can design scalable solutions, coordinate deployment pipelines, and ensure platform health and operational reliability.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications, Service Portals, Customer Service Management (CSM) workflows, and platform enhancements.

Configure and implement ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) modules, security operations integrations, and automated threat remediation workflows.

Build, test, and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, and custom JavaScript/AngularJS scripts.

Establish ServiceNow platform roadmaps, technical architecture standards, CSDM frameworks, and platform governance practices.

Perform day-to-day platform administration, including instance upgrades, patching, cloning, user access controls, and performance monitoring.

Translate business requirements into technical system specifications, detailed programming specs, and scalable platform designs.

Coordinate deployment activities, change management requests, operational support, and system documentation for platform updates.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex ServiceNow technical defects, workflow failures, and platform performance bottlenecks.

Conduct architecture reviews, code walkthroughs, and unit testing to ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and clean code standards.

Author comprehensive technical runbooks, API guides, instance configurations, and deployment specifications.

Qualifications
Core Technical & ServiceNow Requirements
ServiceNow Development Tenure: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience utilizing JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and Flow Designer.

Specialized Module Expertise: Demonstrated development experience with ServiceNow Service Portals and Customer Service Management (CSM).

Mandatory Certification: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Vulnerability Response (CIS-VR).

Platform Architecture & Governance: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in solution architecture, CSDM, CMDB design, and platform roadmap development.

ServiceNow System Administration: Minimum 5+ years of experience administering ServiceNow in enterprise environments (upgrades, patching, cloning, security controls).

Preferred Certifications & Assets
Additional Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Technical Architect (CTA), or ITIL v4 Foundation.

Operational Capabilities: Experience coordinating deployments, managing change requests, and authoring technical administration documentation.
