Physiotherapist I

Your Opportunity Two Hills Health Centre's Allied Health team and the larger home care team are seeking a physiotherapist to provide services to acute care clients, Type A Continuing Care Home residents, and home care clients within the Two Hills area. The role includes travelling to client homes in the surrounding area and requires a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle. Current BLS certification is required. Description The Physiotherapist I (PT) will provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence across acute, chronic, and functional decline contexts. Responsibilities include prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, fostering resourcefulness, case management, referral, and transition support to individuals, groups, populations, and communities. The PT collaborates with patients and families in determining, implementing and evaluating rehabilitation strategies, encourages active participation, and engages in interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports, and advance services. The PT contributes to quality improvement, participates in peer mentoring, and supervises students and junior staff such as Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and Provisional Physiotherapists.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program.

Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Valid driver’s licence and operating vehicle for home care travel.

Current/up to date BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

As Required.
