Lead Project Engineer - Transmission Lines

CIMA+ seeks a Lead Project Engineer specializing in high-voltage transmission lines in Vancouver, BC or Edmonton, AB. Your expertise will shape significant energy projects while enjoying a hybrid work model. As a vital member of CIMA+’s Energy & Resources team, you will engage in multidisciplinary collaboration and lead complex projects. This role requires strong skills in engineering solutions, project management, and client interaction, contributing to the energy transition. Your impact on delivering exceptional customer service and innovative engineering solutions is integral to project success. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate multidisciplinary technical efforts for transmission line designs
• Develop safe engineering solutions and resolve technical problems
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project scope and progress
• Ensure compliance with codes and quality management standards
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers on project alignment

Requirements:

• 10+ years in transmission line engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering
• Registered with Engineer and Geoscientists of BC
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and utility standards
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
