Location: South Landing Drive, Oak Bluff, MB
Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and computer-savvy Estimator to join our team in Oak Bluff, Manitoba. This position will begin as a temporary opportunity, with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing aluminum and steel doors and frames using a company-provided estimating program. Previous estimating experience is an asset; however, full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Experience working in a construction, building materials, manufacturing, or related environment would be considered a strong asset. Candidates with AutoCAD experience or knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and quotations for aluminum and steel doors and frames.

• Review project drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.

• Use the company’s estimating and pricing software to prepare accurate project estimates.

• Perform material takeoffs and assist with calculating material requirements and project costs.

• Enter, update, and maintain accurate estimating and pricing information.

• Review estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Communicate with suppliers, customers, contractors, and internal team members as required.

• Maintain organized project files, pricing information, and estimating documentation.

• Learn and follow company estimating processes, procedures, and product specifications.

• Support the estimating and project teams with additional duties as required.
  

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.

• Previous estimating experience is an asset but is not required; training will be provided.

• Experience in construction, building materials, manufacturing, or a related environment is considered an asset.

• Experience with or knowledge of AutoCAD is a strong asset.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with numbers, measurements, and technical information.

• Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Willingness to learn and develop a long-term career in estimating.
