Backend Developer For AI-powered DeFi platform

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our team and
support the development of our AI-powered DeFi platform. In this role,
you will focus on building secure, scalable, and high-performance
backend services that connect our frontend, blockchain infrastructure,
smart contracts, and third-party DeFi integrations.

You will work closely with blockchain, frontend, and product teams to
build reliable APIs, manage user and transaction data, support staking
and trading workflows, and ensure the platform operates efficiently
and securely.

What You Will Do

● Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs for token management,
staking, swaps, trading, and user account features.
● Build backend services that interact with smart contracts,
blockchain nodes, RPC providers, and third-party DeFi protocols.
● Develop systems for transaction tracking, event indexing, user
balances, staking activity, and platform analytics.
● Integrate databases, caching layers, background jobs, and
real-time services to support scalable platform operations.
● Collaborate with frontend and blockchain teams to ensure smooth
integration between UI, backend APIs, and on-chain functionality.
● Improve backend performance, reliability, security, and
observability across the platform.
● Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to
production deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

● Build and maintain REST or GraphQL APIs for the DeFi platform.
● Implement backend logic for staking, token swaps, liquidity
activity, user portfolios, transaction history, and platform
notifications.
● Integrate blockchain data from Ethereum-compatible networks, RPC
providers, indexers, and smart contract events.
● Design database schemas for users, wallets, transactions, staking
records, trading data, and platform activity.
● Implement authentication, authorization, rate limiting, logging,
error handling, and secure API practices.
● Support real-time data updates using WebSockets, queues, or
event-driven architecture.
● Work with DevOps/cloud tools to support deployment, monitoring,
and backend scalability.

Requirements

● 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
● Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS/Express, or
Python/FastAPI.
● Experience designing scalable APIs and backend services for
production applications.
● Strong database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or
similar systems.
● Experience with Redis, background jobs, queues, WebSockets, or
event-driven systems.
● Understanding of blockchain concepts, wallets, smart contract
interaction, and transaction lifecycle.
● Experience integrating ethers.js, viem, Web3.js, or blockchain RPC
APIs is a strong plus.
● Familiarity with DeFi concepts such as staking, swaps, liquidity
pools, token balances, and on-chain events.
● Experience with Docker, CI/CD, cloud services, logging, and
monitoring tools.
● Strong focus on security, reliability, clean architecture, and
maintainable code.

Nice to Have

● Experience working with DeFi platforms, trading systems, or crypto
wallets.
● Experience with blockchain indexing, The Graph, custom indexers,
or event listeners.
● Experience with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or serverless
infrastructure.
● Experience with AI/LLM integrations or AI-powered financial tools.
