The opportunity

We currently have career opportunity for a Manager in our Canadian Banking Technology consulting team. Our team is dedicated to building a better world by transforming businesses through the potential of our people, technology, and innovation.

Your key responsibilities

As a Technical Delivery Lead you will be responsible to manage end-to-end technical delivery of customer engagements, build strong client relationships, and foster team development. You will be leading a multi-disciplinary team and take full accountability of projects being delivered on time and within budget. You will also need to provide direction on detailed technical design/solution to the delivery team. As a lead, you will be working with senior stakeholders/executives on a regular basis and managing various communications/reporting. The role will include generating new business opportunities by developing innovative ideas and solutions to present to internal and external clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

• 10+ years of experience in roles across the full lifecycle of technology transformation, including the strategy, design, build, test, delivery, and operate phases. Ideally the candidates would start their career as a programmer/developer and then gradually would grow into leadership roles
• Consulting Experience: 5+ years of experience working in consulting, ideally within the Financial Services and Banking sectors.
• ETL Solution Design, Build & Test Experience:
• ETL development experience with AWS technology stack (7+ years)
• Good understanding of the industry trends and design best practices to develop robust solutions
• Collaborate with key business, architects & technology stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver solutions that reflect client needs
• Strong problem-solving skills given various constraints around process and systems
• Experience with different SDLC methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
• Ability to guide junior team members in technical solution design/delivery
• Delivery Leadership: Ability to work with clients at all levels, from executives to delivery teams. experience in reporting to senior stakeholders
• Team Leadership: Ability to lead onshore and offshore teams and foster inclusive collaboration. Led a team of BSAs, Developers, and Quality Analysts (5+ years)
• Complex Ecosystem Understanding: Familiarity with integration architecture, data architecture, and infrastructure architecture (cloud and on-prem)
• Third-Party Collaboration: Experience working with third-party solution providers and subcontractors in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Critical Thinking: Critical and innovative thinking to improve operational efficiencies and an ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs
• Relationship Building: Building relationships founded on trust and providing guidance to both clients and colleagues
• A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or similar discipline; supported by experience in a similar technical environment. Additional post-secondary education in Business Administration is a plus.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Certifications: AWS/Azure Solution Architect or Data Architect
• Domain Knowledge: Experience in projects in Wealth Management or Asset Management or Capital Markets Domain
• Technology Program Management: Experience managing technology engagements, with a strong understanding of engagement financials and deal structuring.
