Senior Buyer

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to support sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing activities within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials, components, equipment, and services to support business operations
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement improvement initiatives
- Conduct market research and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and overall performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project and operational requirements
- Track procurement activities, maintain purchasing records, and prepare reports for management
- Monitor supplier performance, capabilities, and potential risks
- Support contract administration, budgeting, and procurement data management
- Participate in supplier evaluations, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within manufacturing
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing supplier relationships and sourcing activities
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and project management ability
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Results-oriented mindset with attention to detail
- Continuous improvement and a customer-focused approach
