The First Nations Health Authority is offering a Family Physician position that emphasizes team collaboration and holistic wellness. This minimum 1.0 FTE role involves establishing a rapport with a diverse client panel while respecting Indigenous approaches to health. You're invited to integrate Traditional medicine within your practice and work closely with community healers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver primary care in a culturally confident workplace
- Build and maintain a client panel expected to reach 650 within three years
- Collaborate with Indigenous care providers and wellness teams
- Ensure compliance with BC health standards and regulations
- Advocate for comprehensive health and wellness journeys
Requirements
- Valid practising licence from CPSBC
- Completion or commitment to Cultural Safety & Humility training
- Prior experience with First Nations healthcare is an asset
- Driving licence and willingness to transport between locations
- Commitment to support First Nations communities
