Account Manager – Industrial Distribution

Our client, a well-established and highly respected distributor, is looking for a motivated Account Manager to join their growing sales team across Ontario .


This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys getting out in the market, developing relationships and winning new business. You’ll inherit an established territory while having plenty of opportunity to expand the customer base and grow your earnings.


What You’ll Do

• Develop and grow a portfolio of B2B customers across your territory
• Prospect and open new accounts through cold calling, networking and face-to-face sales
• Build strong relationships with contractors, industrial customers and other key decision-makers
• Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet within existing accounts
• Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing and close new business
• Work closely with inside sales and branch teams to provide excellent customer service
• Maintain an active pipeline and consistently work toward sales and growth targets

What We’re Looking For

• Previous B2B sales, account management or business development experience
• Experience in electrical distribution is an asset, but not required
• Backgrounds in industrial distribution, automation, HVAC, construction, building products, MRO or related markets will also be considered
• A proactive, hunter-oriented approach to sales
• Comfortable prospecting and developing business from the ground up
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
