Division Vice President – Audio & Lighting Distribution

We are seeking a results-driven Division Vice President to lead one of our most critical business units. This executive role is designed for a transformational leader passionate about accelerating market growth, navigating complex global vendor ecosystems, and inspiring high-performing teams across North America.

The division serves both commercial integration and live event markets, with deep ties across North America, Europe, and Asia. The successful candidate will take full ownership of division strategy and execution from pricing strategy to supplier partnerships to operational excellence while supporting rapid growth and enhancing service capabilities in a highly competitive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement growth strategies for key verticals.
  • Identify new revenue streams and enhance competitive positioning in both the commercial integration and rental/touring spaces.
  • Maintain sharp focus on profitability through rigorous pricing strategy, product mix, and margin optimization.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility.
  • Lead service and operations teams to deliver seamless experiences to mission‑critical clients.
  • Oversee product lifecycle planning and vendor transitions to ensure continuity and quality.
  • Navigate complex supplier relationships across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Serve as point of escalation for high‑priority supplier negotiations and performance issues.
  • Proactively manage risks around supply allocation, pricing volatility, and service disruptions.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of product managers, specialists, and customer support professionals.
  • Drive a collaborative, self‑managed culture grounded in accountability and operational agility.
  • Plan for succession and professional development across all core functions.
  • Spearhead go‑to‑market strategies to penetrate untapped markets and extend reach across North America.
  • Partner closely with sales leaders to refine channel strategy and major account development.
  • Act as the executive liaison for key customer and partner relationships.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership in audio, lighting, or commercial AV distribution, integration, or related technology sectors.
  • Proven success managing P&L for business units.
  • Experience leading sales, vendor negotiations, and operational strategy.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts such as lumens, dispersion, sound consoles, CRI is important, but technical depth is not the primary requirement.
  • MBA preferred; strong business acumen essential.
  • Must be fluent in both French and English.
  • Agile and adaptable in fast‑paced, shifting environments.
  • Highly team‑oriented with a bias for action and ownership.
  • Skilled negotiator with emotional intelligence and executive‑level presence.
  • Deeply committed to customer service excellence.
