Faculty, 3D Modeling, Art and Animation (Lighting and Rendering 2)

BCIT’s School of Business + Media is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.2 FTE) Faculty, 3D Modeling, Art and Animation . We are seeking individuals who are highly qualified, enthusiastic, committed to quality and innovation in meeting our students’ needs, and who value the importance of teamwork in the workplace.
- MDAA 2542 Lighting and Rendering 2 (20%)
Students will examine the effects of lights, cameras, and surface interactions. Students will setup cameras and camera effects and create a shading network for a high-quality 3D scene that is optimized for efficient rendering. Both offline and real time renderers will be explored and the benefits to both will be examined. Students will be able to render their shots in passes and composite them together in an editing package. Focusing on industry standard presentation techniques, camera moves, pacing, and framing will be explored so students can showcase their work effectively.
