Compensation
Base salary in the $55,000–$65,000 range * , complemented by a strong commission structure that rewards performance, relationship-building, and repeat business.

The Opportunity
This role sits at the center of the customer experience. You will work directly with contractors, builders, and homeowners to support projects of varying size and complexity. From initial conversations and estimates through order fulfillment and follow-up, you will be a trusted point of contact who helps projects move forward smoothly and profitably.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who enjoys balancing customer interaction, technical product knowledge, and operational follow-through.
Position Description
- Guide customers and contractors through the full sales cycle, including inquiries, estimates, order entry, point-of-sale processing, and post-sale follow-up
- Prepare accurate estimates and quotes based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Manage special-order materials from research and pricing through ordering, confirmation, invoicing, and after-sales support
- Maintain active communication with customers throughout the life of their projects, anticipating needs and resolving issues early
- Develop working knowledge of product applications, installation considerations, warranties, and applicable building standards
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely material availability, accurate delivery scheduling, and clear logistics communication
- Track customer activity, future opportunities, and upcoming projects to support ongoing business development
- Work closely with management regarding customer credit status, material planning, and workload priorities
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and service standards at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in building materials sales, construction supply, or a closely related environment
- Regular exposure to contractor-driven sales and project-based ordering
- Experience preparing estimates and managing multiple active orders simultaneously
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of construction materials and their applications
- Solid understanding of building practices and codes
- High attention to detail, particularly with estimates, orders, and documentation
- Confident communicator who builds trust and long-term relationships
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving sales environment
- Strong follow-up habits and accurate note-taking skills
