HR Manager (Canada, Geely Auto)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for the Canadian market, including job postings, channel development (partnering with local agencies, , Indeed, etc.), candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer negotiation to secure top talent for the company.
2. Compensation & Benefits Management: Assist headquarters in developing and implementing competitive and legally compliant compensation and benefits structures for the Canadian market. Accurately and timely process monthly payroll, liaising with external payroll providers (e.g., ADP, Ceridian) to ensure full compliance.
3. Training & Development: Identify skill gaps based on business needs; plan, organize, and implement effective training and development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities, supporting career growth.
4. Performance Management: Drive and execute the company's performance management cycle. Coach managers on goal setting, conducting regular check-ins, and annual reviews, effectively linking performance outcomes to development and incentives.
5. Employee Relations & Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, fostering a positive and healthy work environment. Ensure all HR practices strictly adhere to Canadian federal and provincial employment legislation (e.g., Ontario ESA, BC ESA).
6. HR Operations & Administration: Manage local HR operational processes, including but not limited to onboarding/offboarding, contract management, benefits and pension registration/administration, work permit support, and local vendor management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Education & Knowledge: Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Must be thoroughly proficient in Canadian (particularly provincial) labor laws, employment standards, and HR best practices.
2. Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required for all aspects of the role. Proficiency in French is a significant asset (if located in Quebec).
3. Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP. Experience within the technology, manufacturing, or a multinational company in Canada is highly preferred. Experience supporting business expansion from the ground up (0 to 1) is a significant advantage.
