Senior Product Manager

Canada Workday ULC

About the Team

The Analytics Platform team is responsible for Workday Prism Analytics, an industry-leading, comprehensive Data Management and Analytics platform that enables customers to unlock the highest value from their enterprise data and drive the best business outcomes. Our mission is to revolutionize how customers work with and interact with their data — making their experience more collaborative, interactive, and insight-driven. In the year ahead, the team is focused on Built‑on‑Workday and Workday Data Cloud. The Built‑on‑Workday program enables partners to build data‑driven apps on the Analytics Platform, while the Workday Data Cloud is a transformative initiative that will enable zero‑copy access of data in the Workday platform, fundamentally changing how enterprise data flows into Workday. The team partners closely with engineering, design, data science, and partner product management teams across the organization, giving us high visibility and broad cross‑functional impact.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager on the Workday Analytics Platform team, you will build capabilities for the Analytics platform to deliver Data Cloud and Prism in Built‑on‑Workday. You must be able to dive into technical details with engineers and data scientists as you discuss platform architecture, while also understanding customer use cases and advocating for developer requirements to provide rich end‑to‑end analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities Define the vision and roadmap for Data Cloud and Prism’s data processing capabilities, driving alignment and buy‑in across organization.

Partner with design, engineering, data science, and other product managers to evolve the platform, focusing on delivering intuitive, no‑code ETL experiences for data engineers and business analysts.

Dive deep into customer use cases to understand how they leverage the platform for meaningful insights, identifying, specifying, and prioritizing features through direct input from customers, analysts, developers, and architects.

Act as the Product Owner in one or more scrum teams—setting the vision, writing and prioritizing user stories, grooming the backlog, and communicating progress to stakeholders.

Serve as the product champion externally by fostering a strong customer community and collaborating with Sales, Presales, Customer Success Management, and Product Marketing.

Consistently manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.

Lead the vision and roadmap for your area of the analytics platform, driving buy‑in from key stakeholders.

Partner with other Product Managers across various pillars of Workday (Finance, Workforce) to identify functional and non‑functional requirements with a heavy focus on scale, performance, and security.

About You Basic Qualifications 5‑7 years of experience as a Product Manager delivering high‑impact customer outcomes in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software environments.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Other Qualifications Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, design, data science, partner product management, sales, and customer success—to achieve shared goals.

Deep customer empathy: understanding needs, pain points, and experiences; translating insights into product decisions that improve satisfaction and loyalty.

Strong technical knowledge of data management, data platforms, data warehouses, and analytics platforms; architectural background a plus; ability to speak the language of developer interfaces and APIs.

Strong understanding of design thinking and the product development process, collaborating closely with designers and user researchers to build accessible, user‑friendly experiences.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, adapting style to different audiences—from engineering teams discussing SQL and machine learning to executive stakeholders and customers.

Experience delivering both out‑of‑the‑box connectors and extensible frameworks that enable partners and customers to bring their own data sources at scale.

Ability to engage in technical detail with engineers and data scientists while keeping the broader product vision and customer value in focus.
