Senior Full Stack Application Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Application Developer to join a dynamic technology team responsible for building and enhancing enterprise-level applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys working across both front-end and back-end technologies and contributing to the full software development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Quality Assurance teams, and fellow developers to design, develop, test, and deliver innovative software solutions. This position focuses on new feature development and application enhancement , making it an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about building scalable applications from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new application features and components.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work closely with QA teams to support testing efforts, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects.
• Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end application components.
• Ensure applications meet quality, performance, security, and scalability standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to application architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Strong experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Proven expertise in object-oriented design and programming using Java/J2EE.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
