Medical Equipment Technologist - Canadian Forces

Make a difference in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Biomedical Electronics Technologist. Maintain medical and dental devices critical for health services and soldier support. As part of this essential role, your training in Biomedical Engineering will guide you in managing a variety of medical equipment. Work environments range from regional repair facilities to field hospitals and ships, with regular maintenance visits required. You will ensure compliance with technical standards necessary for effective medical care. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain operating room and emergency medical equipment
- Service diagnostic laboratory tools effectively
- Utilize tools for repair and electronics maintenance
- Conduct assessments and troubleshooting for equipment
- Monitor device performance regularly across establishments
- Completion of a Biomedical Engineering Diploma
- Minimum six months related experience needed
- Willingness to undertake continuous training
- Possible relocation within the Regular Force
- Strong attention to compliance and detail
