Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Protect gaiia’s cloud infrastructure as a Senior Security Engineer, using AWS expertise and strong security judgment in a 100% remote environment.This hands-on senior role combines security generalist responsibilities with full-stack engineering. You will protect products, infrastructure, customers, and teams across serverless microservices, TypeScript, and infrastructure-as-code. The work spans application security, cloud security, incident response, compliance, and enablement.Key Responsibilities:
Review AWS, Snowflake, GitHub, and critical vendor configurationsImprove IAM, least privilege, and production access controlsReview logging, detection, monitoring, and deployment pipelinesHarden data stores, networks, backups, and encryption controlsReport material risks and security progress to leadershipRequirements:
At least five years in a related technical roleStrong experience securing cloud infrastructure and distributed systemsStrong AWS experience and modern web application security knowledgeExperience with serverless architectures, microservices, and infrastructure-as-codeUnderstanding of IAM, secrets management, logging, and secure SDLC practicesBring AWS, cloud security, and pragmatic leadership to gaiia’s remote platform security work.
