What will your typical day look like?

 

The Quality & Risk Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality of audit client and engagement acceptances and that they are properly documented and monitored in our databases. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 
• Reviewing and validating client and engagement acceptances and continuances in CRM.
• Updating the records in the Audit Public Database in a timely manner.
• Reviewing records in the Audit Public Database and maintaining its accuracy through daily data entry.
• Overseeing the workload distribution to ensure timely CAEA processing.
• Assisting audit practitioners to complete their forms when required.
• Being available to the team and team lead to provide support as required.
• Ensuring timely communication to PPD, Audit DO, National Risk Management and the Engagement teams.
• Creating and modifying reports using Audit Public Database.
• Maintaining and retaining files according to Deloitte policies.
• Communicating with engagement teams to confirm facts and circumstances.
• Assisting with regulatory reporting to various stakeholders, including collecting the information from the engagement team and coordinating with other National groups.

About the team

 

The Audit Client and Engagement (ACE) Data Governance team plays a key role in supporting the firm’s client and engagement acceptance processes and maintaining the integrity of our acceptance data.

 

Under Deloitte’s Risk Management Program, Audit & Assurance (A&A) clients and engagements are accepted and retained only when the associated risks are considered acceptable and appropriately managed. The Client Acceptance and Engagement Acceptance (CAEA) process is an important part of this framework. It documents the regulatory and business risk considerations associated with accepting or continuing a client and engagement and helps ensure that professionals with the appropriate skills, experience and expertise are aligned to the engagement’s risk profile.

 

The ACE team helps ensure that each CAEA meets applicable requirements, including that the appropriate documentation, checks and approvals are completed based on the circumstances. 

 

Once a CAEA is approved, the relevant information is included in the Audit Public Database (APDB) and the team performs ongoing monitoring to support the accuracy and completeness of APDB data and any reports provided to key stakeholders.

Through this work, the ACE team helps safeguard the quality and reliability of critical acceptance data and supports the firm in effectively managing regulatory and business risk.

Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position.

 

You are someone with these required skills, experience & qualifications:

 

• A completed University degree (preferably in Business Administration)
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Audit, or a relevant field
• Exposure to auditing standards and accounting principles (i.e. IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE, AICPA, CAS, PCAOB)
• Advanced IT skills in MS Office (SharePoint, Access, Word, Excel & Outlook)
• Extremely high attention to detail
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
• A dedication to teamwork and leadership
• Proven ability to sustain a high level of drive enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.
• Capacity for working hard to meet demands at key times of pressure, resilient in the face of challenges or obstacles.
• Ability to prioritize/multitask and to work independently
• Commitment to quality, ethics, and confidentiality is a must

The salary range for this position is $47,000 - $78,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
