Methods Engineer (Quebec City)

Role Overview

6+ years of overall experience in the aerospace domain, design, and manufacturing of detailed and assembly methods. Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, shop‑floor support, and methods engineering. Exposure to aircraft primary, secondary structures, systems, and electrical components. Key Responsibilities

Write and revise technical instruction documents (process sheets) for aircraft sheet metal and machine components. Write and revise assembly instruction guides or manufacturing instruction guides for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components. Interpret, verify, and approve drawings and other engineering documents. Develop assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components. Develop detailed manufacturing strategies for aircraft components. Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes and assembly strategies by working closely with Engineering, Parts Logistics, Quality, and Production. Prepare condition of supply (detailed & assembly parts) to meet assembly conditions in Catia V5. Participate in periodic internal and external reviews. Perform tasks with minimal guidance, meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality. Skills & Tools

MS Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organized and able to meet deadlines. Strong project management, client communication, and personal interaction with cross‑functional departments such as NC programming, production, purchasing, and quality. Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge of aircraft materials, heat treatment, and special processes. Knowledge of different manufacturing and machining processes. Understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques for metallic and composite materials. Valuable understanding of aircraft structures. Experience in aircraft primary, secondary structures, and systems.
