What You'll Do

• This role is responsible for safely completing the following tasks:
  • pot and soil preparation
  • staking and bagging plants in the greenhouse
  • harvesting / hand threshing
  • greenhouse room cleaning and housekeeping
• Actively follow safety procedures, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Timely complete tasks as assigned from technicians, agronomists, and plant breeders to meet business objectives
• Demonstrate willingness and enthusiasm to complete other duties and assignments to meet operational needs of the business

What You'll Bring

• A High School diploma or equivalent certificate is required
• An engaged safety-first mindset
• Comfortable working in outdoor weather conditions for the majority of work shift
• Able to stoop, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
• Accountability to team with dependable attendance and completion of assigned workload
• Attention to detail when completing data tracking activities
• Follow through on assigned tasks from start to finish
• Apply critical thinking in problem solving scenarios
• Interpersonal effectiveness to collaborate with colleagues and leaders
• Organized approach to completing work in alignment with priorities
• Previous work experience in agriculture is an asset but not required
