Today is the day to boost your career! Pinchin is seeking an Environmental Technologist to join our Team in our Labrador City office.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Environmental Technologist will help execute a wide range of assigned field sampling programs such as water sampling, ambient air monitoring, worker exposure, workplace monitoring, safety inspections, hazardous materials sampling and audits. You will assist in developing various types of hygiene, health and safety documentation, prepare technical reports and liaise with clients to ensure their needs and goals are met.

A Day in the life of an Environmental Technologist at Pinchin:

  • In-House training (office & field) on sampling programs and procedures.
  • Conduct onsite sampling for ambient air and water.
  • Conduct site investigations - asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead etc.
  • Conduct field work, including visits to sites and supervise remediation activities
  • Conduct Building Condition and Environmental Site Assessments
  • Interpret and analyze sample results in relation to legislative requirements and industry-accepted guidelines
  • Investigate, test and evaluate moisture and/or air penetration in the building envelope
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Summarize, collate and interpret results and findings of field investigations and assessments for technical reports
  • Prepare drawings and construction review reports
  • Manage time of projects effectively and efficiently
  • Liaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure health, safety and hygiene needs are addressed and met
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to assist with report writing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Availability to work outside our core business hours and rotational weekends (when needed)
  • Valid driver's license
  • There are times when employees are required by our clients to undergo security clearances and/or drug and alcohol testing in order to gain access to certain job sites
