Sunset Cove is locally owned, yet professionally managed by a team of senior housing experts. With more than 40 years of combined senior housing experience in both Cornwall and Ottawa, the managers bring years of best practice experience and knowledge with a keen focus on resident satisfaction.
We are recruiting for a Cook. This is a permanent, full-time position. There are two vacancies available.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
Qualifications
- High school graduation
- 2-3 years of experience
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
