Lead mechanical and piping engineering for mining projects with WSP from the Sudbury, Ontario office, applying ASME codes and EPCM expertise.This Lead Mechanical Engineer guides complex mining and industrial projects across Canada. You will support conceptual studies, detailed engineering, construction support, and execution while coordinating multidisciplinary delivery. The work emphasizes safe, compliant systems, constructability, equipment reliability, and project standards.Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical and piping packages across project phasesApply ASME, API, and TEMA codes and standardsReview layouts, isometrics, BOMs, and fabrication deliverablesSelect rotating equipment using lifecycle and performance criteriaPrepare calculations, specifications, RFQs, and technical evaluationsRequirements:
At least 12 years’ senior mechanical engineering experienceIndustrial or mining EPCM project leadership experienceExperience with piping materials, fabrication, and construction practicesBachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringRegistered or eligible for Canadian Professional Engineer registrationBring mechanical leadership, piping expertise, and EPCM delivery experience to WSP’s mining and industrial projects across Canada.
