Job Responsibility:
We are a leading company in the Canadian oil and gas sector, specializing in energy infrastructure, exploration, and sustainable resource development. Our team is composed of experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering safe, innovative, and efficient energy solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Gas Engineer to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and oversee the construction and maintenance of natural gas systems and infrastructure
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations for gas projects
- Monitor compliance with safety codes, environmental standards, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and third-party contractors
- Optimize gas flow systems for safety and efficiency
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and cost estimates
- Troubleshoot system issues and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure the integrity and safety of pipelines, pressure vessels, and gas-related equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of gas systems, safety protocols, and industry standards (e.g., CSA Z662, ASME)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or PipeSim
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Willingness to travel to remote job sites as needed
