Civil Engineering Technologist

CFI Engineering is a growing! Were looking for a Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team.  Industry experience is an asset, however we are committed to helping the right person develop and succeed. At CFI, youll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from land development, storm water management and underground utilities to structural design and building systems (wood, steel, concrete and masonry). Youll collaborate with experienced engineers, technologists and project managers in a fast-paced environment where professional growth and team work is valued.

Responsibilities:
-Develop civil engineering drawings and specifications
-Assist with field inspections, testing and data collection
-Provide technical support during construction
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
-Maintain project documentation. Ie; change management, risk analysis, schedule management
-Be able to assist with structural drawings would be considered an asset
-Work within a team environment, as well as independently

Qualifications:
-Experience is an asset in the related field with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma or related education.
-Experience in a consulting or engineering environment is an asset, but not required. CFI is willing to train the right candidate.
-Registration with APEGS or another recognized professional organization is considered a strong asset.
-Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
-Experience with REVIT is considered an asset.
-Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
-A valid drivers license. Travel will be required from time to time.
