Custodial Services Supervisor

Job Description

As our Custodial Services Supervisor at the Michelin Tire Plant in Bridgewater, NS, you will be the driving force behind a safe, clean, and smoothly run facility. Working closely with the Custodial Services Manager, you'll lead a hands-on cleaning team, oversee daily operations, and keep standards exceptionally high.

This is a permanent, full time position with a Monday to Friday day time schedule. Job Responsibilities

• Lead & Inspire: Coordinate, supervise, and develop team members through coaching, recruitment, and hands-on support.

• Maintain Operational Excellence: Inspect work zones to ensure all safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.

• Hands-On Execution: Oversee and assist with general and specialized facility maintenance (trash removal, floor care like buffing/stripping/waxing, carpet cleaning, window washing, and thorough disinfecting).

• Admin & Scheduling: Assist with labor scheduling, monitor staffing needs, and help manage inventory, purchasing, and billing.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure full team compliance with all Aramark and client policies, Provincial OH&S, and WHMIS regulations.

• Client & Team Relations: Resolve internal or customer concerns with urgency, respect, and utmost professionalism.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
• Completion of secondary school required 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Skilled in prioritization of tasks and time management
• Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of occupational health and safety
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service to our clients
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with team members and Manager to ensure smooth operations
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks (bending, reaching, turning) 

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
