Robotic Process Automation Developer

Job Responsibility:

Foremost is hiring a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer to join our team in our Calgary, Alberta or Lloydminster, Alberta locations. The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) reports to the RPA Manager, you will use your passion for technology to design, test, implement, and maintain RPA solutions across the organization.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define automation opportunities, define requirements, and ensure the successful deployment of RPA solutions. Foremost has recently adopted the UiPath Automation Cloud platform to enhance our automation capabilities. As the technical resource for RPA initiatives, you will leverage tools such as UiPath, Python, and SQL to build efficient automations and drive continuous improvement across business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation and develop best-practice RPA solutions to address them.
• Document and map current business processes by creating detailed process flow diagrams to support automation design.
• Design, develop, and configure RPA solutions using the UiPath Automation Cloud platform, including implementing human-in-the-loop workflows via UiPath Action Center, to meet business process and application needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned automation projects, including comprehensive testing and reporting on automation outcomes.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across departments to promote collaboration on automation initiatives.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and triggers to integrate RPA solutions with other applications and databases.
• Develop custom scripts (e.g., in Python) within RPA workflows to extend automation capabilities and integrate with external systems.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication throughout RPA change management cycles and effectively draw out process details from non-technical stakeholders.
• Accountable to the IT Manager for ensuring data integrity and addressing any security risks associated with RPA solutions.

Qualifications:

• Two to five years of experience in business process improvement and automation (RPA) or similar large-scale transformation initiatives
• Strong track record of utilizing RPA tools (especially UiPath), along with familiarity with OCR technologies and DevOps tools.
• Excellent understanding of SQL and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, .NET framework)
• Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript) is an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies (e.g., Visual Basic, SQL Server) and cloud-based AI/ML tools (such as Azure Form Recognizer, Azure AutoML) are a start
• RPA certification (e.g., UiPath Certified Professional, or similar) is desired but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical RPA concepts to non-technical stakeholders Ability to extract and work with data from multiple enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms) to support automation processes.
• A proactive and analytical mindset
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills, coupled with a results-driven, self-starter attitude.

Additional Requirements/Inform

• This is a full-time, permanent position.
• This position will require travel to other sites within Alberta.
• Hybrid opportunity 100% in office for initial onboarding of 90 days and then 80% in office and 20% remote potentially
