Server, 30 hours weekly

Responsibilities

·       Welcomes guests with enthusiasm while adhering to Serving It Right practices at all times

·       Makes recommendations for guests regarding menu options and promotes beverages and feature menus with confidence and a flair for service

·       Ensures all orders are entered into Micros accurately, noting any substitutions, requests or allergies

·       Performs quality check with guests within 5 minutes of serving food

·       Responsible for cash float, credit and debit handling with the utmost care and integrity

·       Takes orders and payment for guests who opt for take-out

·       Prepares restaurant for subsequent meal service

·       Takes ownership of guest complaints, finding creative ways to resolve guest matters

·       Supports the team and performs other tasks assigned by management

Requirements

• 2 years minimum prior experience in food & beverage with working knowledge of food, wine, spirits and craft beer, open to ongoing training.
• Full-time/regular positions require open availability , however shifts are typically in the afternoon/evenings, where weekends and stat holidays are non-negotiable particularly during major holidays where blackout time off is expected .
• A trustworthy individual who can work with minimal supervision and have strong initiative.
• Professional and polished personal presentation.
• Excellent Guest Relations skills adept at providing upscale service.
• Can work effectively with others in a team.
• Micros or a similar POS System experience a big asset.
• Organized and can work well under pressure
• “Serving it Right” certification required.
• WSET certificates are a big asset.
