In this role, you will assess and treat psychiatric disorders, emotional conditions, and substance use issues in outpatient settings. Your skills in crisis management, medication management, and individualized treatment planning will directly impact patient health outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Examine patients, assessing risk and treatment needs
- Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor relevant medications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Completed residency program in Psychiatry
- Certification or eligibility for FRCPC
- Strong desire for fellowship training
- Licensed with provincial College of Physicians
