Responsibilities

The Marguerite-Bourgeoys School Service Centre (CSSMB) is looking for dynamic and inspiring teachers to fill contractual positions and full-time replacements in elementary and secondary education .

We are primarily looking for candidates interested in working with a teenage clientele in secondary education.

Please note that in Quebec, secondary education generally corresponds to classes accommodating young people aged approximately 12 to 17 years, which corresponds to middle and high school in France. In special education, you will support students with special needs and varied profiles, in a context where teaching is adapted to their abilities, needs, and backgrounds.

Requirements

Desired Skills

• Strong interest in the clientele (Mild intellectual disability, giftedness, learning support, language and communication, students with adaptation difficulties and psychopathology);

• Empathy and patience;

• Ability to motivate and engage students with learning difficulties;

• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment;

• Very good knowledge of spoken and written French.

The CSSMB is looking for qualified educators to teach in special education. To have your application selected, you must hold a conditional eligibility notice issued by the Quebec Ministry of Education (MEQ) at

Eligibility to teach in special education:
First eligible case:

• Minimum degree in one of the disciplines of the Quebec Educational Program

• Certification for special education (CAPPEI, CAPA-SH, 2 CA-SH, CAPSAIS, CAEIS, etc.).

Second eligible case:

• Minimum degree in one of the disciplines not included in the Quebec Educational Program

• Certification for special education (CAPPEI, CAPA-SH, 2 CA-SH, CAPSAIS, CAEIS, etc.)

• University degree with a major (e.g., DEUG), or a minimum of 45 university disciplinary units, in one of the disciplines of the Quebec Educational Program.
