Auction Assistant

Job Responsibility:

Variety of tasks: Everyday is a little different at R&T Auctions

• Assist with day-to-day operations, customer inquiries, and administrative tasks.
• Prepare items for auction, including cataloging, photographing, and ensuring accurate descriptions.
• Estate clearance projects with attention to detail and sensitivity.
• Engage with clients, facilitate transactions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote our auctions and attract bidders. (specialized role)
• Capture high-quality images of auction items to showcase their features and enhance online listings.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in auctions, sales, marketing, or related fields is preferred for some positions.
• Leadership roles require demonstrated leadership skills and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (required)
• auction participation: 1 year (required)

Language:

• English (required)
