URGENT: Nanny Wanted - Experienced Nanny/Housekeeper/Meal Prep Needed In Edmonton, Alberta

We are a warm family looking for a reliable, proactive Family Assistant to help keep our household running smoothly. We have an 8-month-old son, and a small dog. Our ideal candidate enjoys both childcare and household management, takes initiative without needing constant direction, and finds satisfaction in creating an organized, well-maintained home environment. About the Role: While occasional childcare support for our son will be part of the position, the primary focus is helping with household and life maintenance so that we can spend more quality time as parents. We are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done, takes ownership of tasks, and helps keep our home running efficiently. Responsibilities: Household Management

• General housekeeping and maintaining a tidy home
• Laundry for the family
• Kitchen clean-up and organization
• Household organization and light decluttering
• Monitoring household supplies and notifying us when items need replenishing

Meal Preparation:

• Preparing healthy family meals
• Focus on nutritious, lower-sodium, balanced meals
• Basic meal planning and grocery list preparation
• Grocery shopping and household errands

Childcare Support

• Occasional care for our 8-month-old son
• Assisting with bottles, meals, naps, and playtime as needed
• Supporting parents while maintaining consistency with family routines
• Occasional babysitting for date nights
• Potential overnight support in the future once trust and familiarity have been established

Pet Care:

• Walking our dog
• Basic pet care and companionship

Schedule:

• Part-time hours
• Primarily weekday mornings and/or afternoons
• Weekends off unless coordinated for specific reasons ie. Occasional evenings for date nights
• Flexible schedule can be discussed for the right candidate

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced with infants and young children
• Enjoys cooking and meal preparation
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Self-starter who takes initiative
• Reliable, honest and trustworthy
• Comfortable working independently
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred (for the most part we typically handle the driving at this time)
• Valid CPR certification & police check

Travel: We love to travel and occasionally spend extended periods of time away from home throughout the year. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to join us on family trips and provide support while traveling. This is entirely optional and will depend on the candidate, destination, and travel plans. There may also be opportunities to care for our home and pet while we are away. We believe in being transparent that when we are traveling for longer periods, household support hours may be reduced or temporarily paused if not travelling with us.
