Job Responsibility: GENERAL SUMMARY: Reports to Corporate Material Management with dotted line to the Materials Manager. SUPERVISOR HSE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities as they pertain to the job to include performing workplace inspections, conducting information sessions, conducting incident investigations, conducting employee training, correcting substandard acts or conditions, commending employee health and safety performance, performing employee safety observations, duties as per Section 27 of the OHSA MAJOR DUTIES: Responsible for acquiring MRO equipment, supplies and/or services at the lowest price possible. Manages activities necessary to meet financial goals in the movement of MRO inventory. Responsible for the supervision of Tool Crib Attendants. Responsible for the updating indirect materials item master/maintenance in QAD.

• Maintain indirect inventory at adequate levels to support operations
• Maintain indirect inventory at absolute minimum to improve cash flow
• Develop Vendor relationships
• Institute monthly cycle counts and reconciliation of any variances
• Responsible for all plant generated PO’s for indirect material or services
• Expedite emergency repair equipment and/or tools
• Champion of EREQ system (Electronic requisition)
• Work with Suppliers to obtain cost savings
• Work with Maintenance and plant personnel to ensure all required material is in inventory
• Back up in shipping and for Materials Manger in their Absence.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 , PMAC courses, MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2-3 years purchasing experience —beneficial if in a manufacturing environment Experience with procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, materials and inventory management, and logistics and transportation a strong asset. PMAC designation beneficial JOB SPECIFIC TRAINING REQUIRED: Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and Word ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Corporate Compliance EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: Maintain and continue to build upon long term vendor/supplier relationship’s WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily desk work, will need to walk the plant floor in a loud, dusty environment.
