Journeyman Finishers

Staffmax Staffing is currently hiring a Journeyman Finisher for a reputable residential custom home builder in Winnipeg. This role is ideal for an experienced concrete professional ready to step into a leadership position, overseeing crews while maintaining high-quality workmanship on premium residential projects.

Job Type: Full-Time | Year-Round
Pay Rate - $39 - $43 an hour
PLUS $2/HR premium for leading a team of 2+
Schedule Time - Monday- Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of concrete workers on residential job sites
• Coordinate daily tasks including forming, pouring, and finishing concrete
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to high-quality standards
• Set grades, elevations, and ensure proper layout and alignment
• Train, mentor, and support team members on best practices
• Inspect work and address issues before and after concrete placement
• Maintain site safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Communicate with site supervisors and project managers on progress

Qualifications

• Red Seal OR 5 years of experience
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of forming, placing, finishing, and curing concrete
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret project specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
