Bilingual Investment Lending Consultant (Toronto)

Are you a dynamic, driven individual with a passion for sales and a competitive spirit? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Join Manulife Bank’s Specialized Lending team and become a consultative ambassador for our Investment and RSP loan products, while building and maintaining meaningful relationships with mass‑market financial advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and expand internal and external relationships within a specified geographic territory through regular strategic contact with mass‑market and mass‑affluent financial advisors and territory partners, as outlined in your quarterly business plan.
  • Contact financial advisors up to 40 times per day, educating them on our investment lending products and strategies and assisting in completing sales.
  • Conduct meetings with advisors to drive sales, understand their practices, and explain how investment leverage can solidify relationships and grow their business.
  • Call advisors unfamiliar with Manulife Bank to introduce specialized lending solutions for their clients.
  • Use Salesforce, cold calling, and AI‑powered technologies to manage outreach and track progress.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert on all Manulife Bank specialized lending products, with a particular emphasis on investment lending.
  • Educate advisors and their support staff on Manulife Bank tools, processes, and technologies available to grow investment business.
  • Achieve all sales and activity goals outlined in yearly plans.

Business Development & Strategic Growth

  • Assist advisors in completing and reviewing applications to ensure they are in proper business order.
  • Handle service cases and escalations, addressing concerns and resolving issues.
  • Meet monthly with RDS/PLA partners to discuss territory strategy.
  • Develop and execute quarterly and yearly business plans in the territory, including budget planning, in‑person events, webinars, email campaigns, lead management, marketing, and presentations.
  • Review and analyze sales data, reports, and performance metrics to ensure goals are met and to forecast future plans.
  • Create, analyze, and review advisor Book of Business and AUM reports internally and collaboratively with advisors.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Participate in a Buddy System to onboard and mentor new team members.
  • Design and implement marketing, sales campaigns, webinars, contests, and other initiatives to drive sales in the territories.
  • Share best practices and collaborate with other Manulife Bank business units to enhance operational efficiencies and product improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Manulife Wealth, Manulife Insurance, and Manulife Group representatives to build advisor interest in investment lending solutions.

Ensuring Compliance & Best Practices

  • Follow and comply with all best practices, internal training modules, industry and bank compliance standards, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strict adherence to AML/KYC/KYA guidelines.
  • Attend and contribute to all team meetings and events, including travel to regional and national sales conferences and limited sales visits to territories.
  • Manage company credit card and expense budgets responsibly.

Qualifications

  • Post‑secondary education or equivalent work experience in banking or insurance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience growing a client base with a proven track record in sales qualification.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and reports.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Power BI, and Adobe platforms (asset).
  • Business planning and territory management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Knowledge of banking, investment, and insurance (asset).
  • A passion for learning and development.
  • Bilingualism in English and French required; proficiency in both languages needed to support clients across provinces outside Quebec.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $85,500.00 CAD to $125,500.00 CAD, plus sales incentives based on role‑specific criteria. Location

Full‑time remote work from Canada (Quebec). The role supports clients across various provinces outside Quebec, requiring bilingual proficiency.
