Elevate your data engineering skills with Benevity as a Senior Staff Data Platform Engineer in a hybrid work environment. Lead the design and execution of our data democratization strategy. Benevity seeks a Senior Staff Data Platform Engineer to shape our data platform's technical strategy. This full-time role in Toronto requires extensive hands-on experience in data engineering and product development. You'll work closely with the team to enhance our systems' scalability and governance, vital for building impactful data products. Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable data ingestion pipelines and medallion architecture
- Lead hands-on development for streaming and batch data processing
- Ensure all datasets are registered and discoverable
- Mentor team members in technical best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into technical specifications
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in scalable data platform development
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role
- Strong knowledge of AWS and data governance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
