Position Overview Provincial Internal Travel Nurse – Casual Relief Positions. Provide critical care nursing services in Critical Care, Coronary Care and ICU units across Nova Scotia. Work assignments and schedules will consider preferences and operational needs.
Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in various Critical Care/CCU settings throughout the province.
Participate in ambulance transports as required.
Maintain professional clinical practice and contribute to continuous improvement in patient care.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school and eligible for registration in Nova Scotia.
Completion of an approved Critical Care Course/Certificate/CCNP or Emergency Nursing Program.
A minimum of 3 years of Critical Care nursing experience.
BLS certification.
ACLS/RQI/ALS certification.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ongoing relevant education.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships with patients, families and staff.
Willingness to perform ambulance transports.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Language competencies are an asset; French preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate ranges from $40.55 to $49.99, plus a 15% provincial internal travel nurse premium. Additional premium of $51.74 for nurses with 25 years experience. Positions include shifts days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Benefits include market‑competitive salary, pension plan, paid travel/accommodations, and other benefits as per the collective agreement.
