Part-Time, Term (July 27, 2026, to June 18, 2027)

Dauphin, MB (In-person Parkland Campus)

Comp #55-25/26

Salary: $65,184 to $102,262 annually ($34.58 to $54.25 hourly)

(Educational Supplement: Masters $1.60/hour; PhD $3.19/hour)

Reporting to the Chairperson, you will develop and deliver curriculum that integrates inclusive, culturally responsive, play-based learning and Indigenous perspectives, while supporting students through mentorship, assessment, and field placements. You will also collaborate with community partners to strengthen practicum opportunities and contribute to program promotion, planning, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in classroom and provide academic assistance.
  • Develop and modify course objectives, course outlines, curricula and evaluation procedures.
  • Maintain all course-related records including evaluations and attendance and submit required information.
  • Prepare and organize course materials and learning resources.
  • Share passion and knowledge of the ECE profession with students.
  • Apply enthusiasm for classroom management, student evaluation, academic advising and related administrative duties.

Qualifications

  • Manitoba ECE III certification or equivalent post-secondary ECE education and significant industry experience that enables you to effectively provide instruction in one or more of the following areas: child development, children’s special needs, communicating with children with varying disabilities, and vulnerable children and/or families, nutritional meal planning and practicum supervision.
  • Experience teaching in an adult environment is highly desirable
  • Experience teaching (theory, lab, and clinical) and experience using Moodle an asset.
  • Solid understanding of program and curriculum development, Indigenization and decolonization of curriculum, classroom instruction, assessment and evaluation, student advising and group facilitation.
  • Well-developed technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Word,
  • Highly developed communication skills, strong organizational and teamwork skills
