Joanna's family in Scarborough (Port Union and Lawson roads), Ontario, is seeking a compassionate, skilled extra set of hands to balance parenting and household life with us. As a work-from-home family, our goal is to find a supportive partner who acts as a true third set of hands—working alongside us as a team to swap off tasks and balance the load throughout the day. Rather than expecting you to constantly juggle everything at once, we collaborate fluidly: when a parent steps in to care for the baby, you can assist around the house, and when we are focused on work or chores, your focus shifts to the baby or dogs. When focusing on childcare, responsibilities include bottle feeding, nap management, diaper changing, and engaging our 4 -month-old infant in developmentally appropriate play. When focusing on the home, we need active support with general cleaning, tackling dishes, and assisting with family meal preparation—and if you happen to enjoy spending time outdoors, household tasks could even involve light garden work depending on your interest! You will also lend a hand with our two friendly dogs (one senior large dog and one smaller dog), which involves occasional feeding, washroom breaks, and short walks. We are offering $25.00 per hour for 10 to 15 hours per week to start, primarily during weekdays, with occasional weekend, evening, or overnight care needed on a per-occurrence basis. Our home is located right along the TTC Route 38 (Highland Creek), though a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are an asset. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and thrives in this kind of team-oriented environment.
