Seasonal Pilot for AT-802 Aerial Operations

Join J.D. Irving as a Seasonal Pilot operating the AT-802, tackling aerial firefighting and application tasks in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Maine during the 2026 season. In collaboration with Forest Patrol Limited, this position calls for pilots keen on sustainable forest management and environmental responsibility. Pilots will experience an engaging rotation of 14 days on and 7 days off, contributing to essential aerial work from April to October. Candidates should possess a proven flying record and a strong focus on safety and readiness during mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Fly operational missions adhering to day VFR conditions
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
- Conduct comprehensive daily checks on the aircraft
- Maintain a high state of readiness for firefighting
- Assist with aircraft maintenance tasks as needed
- Valid Canadian commercial pilot license or equivalent
- Category 1 medical certification required
- Minimum 1500 hours of fixed-wing flying time
- Experience with tailwheel aircraft is necessary
- Background in aerial application or firefighting is advantageous
