Live-in Caregiver

I am urgently in need of a Live-in Caregiver to assist a loved one starting from 23.06.2026 on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be kind, compassionate, and have experience working with dementia patients. The care receiver has a diverse and busy schedule, which requires the caregiver to be available and flexible across all days of the week, at various times. No two days are the same, with the patient requiring assistance morning through night, with needs ranging from basic care to socialization and companionship. Although a driver's license isn't required for the role, the caregiver is expected to use their own car when necessary, for example, for running errands or escorting the care receiver to their appointments. Responsibilities of the caregiver include, but are not limited to, being agile with a range of motion exercises, providing bathing and toileting assistance, bed pan management, helping with dressing, ambulation assistance as well as assistance with a Hoyer lift. Light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation are also part of the role. Additionally, you'll be asked to maintain cleanliness in the bathroom, assist with pet care, and occasionally hand wash dishes. The role also encompasses engaging socially with the care receiver through planned visits, outings and trips to visit friends, family and neighbors. Furthermore, essential aspects of the role include Alzheimer/Dementia care and palliative care, adding not just a physical but emotional element to the scope of duties. Availability for 40-50 hours a week is expected, providing the necessary full-time support. It is necessary that the caregiver does have experience dealing with dementia, to provide the best care and environment for the patient.
