Your opportunity: As an integral member of the Finance team, you will perform a variety of functions that are essential to financial and effective cash flow management. This position reports to the Finance Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Director of Financial Services and the Director of Infrastructure Planning & Implementation, with a focus on Capital Accounting, related analysis work and will work closely with internal and external subject matter experts. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing complex statistical reports and/or financial information for management decision-making
• Analyzing actual expenditures in comparison to budget and preparing reports for financial planning and funding terms compliance
• Forecasting and planning financial activities incorporating project budgets with multiple sources of revenue and/or recoveries
• Performing complex financial data modeling and analysis including long range cash flow forecasting
• Making recommendations on budget allocations involving multiple sources of revenue and/or recoveries
• Preparing project expense/revenue modeling, forecasting cost-to-completion and financial tracking
• Researching, analyzing and recommending potential changes to system features

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business administration or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience. CPA designation or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum five years of recent and related experience in a financial position.
• Experience in monitoring department budgets and analyzing financial trends.
• Experience in reconciling accounts.
• Experience conducting financial trend analysis and proposing effective strategies and working with databases, analyzing financialdata and statistics and producing complex reports.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting principles.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as an integral member of a team.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
• Demonstrated strong client service orientation.

Assets (Nonessential):

• Experience working with a SAP-based system.
