Junior Project Manager - Short Term Relocation Opportunity

Job Description

  • Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day administration and coordination of construction projects.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Monitor project progress and assist in maintaining project schedules and milestones.
  • Track and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and contract documentation.
  • Support cost control initiatives and help track project budgets and expenditures.
  • Attend site meetings and project coordination meetings.
  • Work closely with site supervision to identify and resolve project issues.
  • Assist in maintaining project quality standards and ensuring compliance with contract documents.
  • Support project reporting and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and project procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Junior Project Manager should have:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in construction project coordination, project engineering, or project management.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working on assisted living, residential, mixed-use, commercial, or institutional construction projects is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with construction management software is considered an asset.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.
