This is a full-time hourly position in an extremely high paced environment that requires some weekend shifts and overtime hours.We are ideally looking for someone who can take orders, handle dispatching and batching, or is eager to be trained to do so. Then apply today, and enjoy:Competitive compensationCompany 6% RRSP matching programComprehensive company-paid health benefitsHigh-quality individuals and teamsStrong safety cultureEnjoy the benefits of working for a reputable, stable, and growing companyBe part of the team building legacy infrastructure that will be around for generations (You can say I built that!)Key ResponsibilitiesSend tickets to batch plants to load trucksAid drivers in locating job sites with a general knowledge of Saskatoon & areaContact customers when concrete delivery is not on scheduleAnswer customer phone calls for order placement and revisionsEnsures the timely resolution of customer inquiries, concerns, and problemsWork closely with sales representatives, batchers, quality assurance and mechanicsProvide quotes and process daily COD transactions and paymentsPrepare driver schedule for an average of 15 trucks from plant to maximize time efficiently and effectivelyPerform order taking, dispatching, and batching—or be willing to learn these functionsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or Post-Secondary DegreeDispatching experience in the concrete or related industry would be preferredConsiderable knowledge of concrete technology, mixes and value-added productsAbility to maintain a high level of confidential information regarding proprietary mix designs and contract pricingGeneral knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, Ministry of Transport policies and regulations, company policies and proceduresExcellent communication skills with a proven track record of strong written and verbal customer service experiencesAbility to handle and deal with customer complaints in a professional mannerStrong telephone etiquetteSelf-starter and motivated with responsible work ethicStrong math and problem-solving skillsHighly organized, good decision-making skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environmentProven team player with a positive attitude and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with subordinate personnel, department officials, public and private agencies, and the general publicAbility to work under pressure with ever-changing deadlines and work environmentsMust be willing to work flexible hours including Saturdays and overtime when requiredBasic computer skills are required (Excel, Word, Outlook) combined with experience navigating the internet and the technical ability to learn custom software applicationsWe Will Still Consider You If You Have ( including most of the above requirements ):The combination of education and experiences that result in the required level of knowledge, skill, and competence to be successful at a high level in this roleA stellar and demonstrable customer service background in a related industryThe desire and ability to learn our dispatching program and related technologies, as well as our industry challenges
